Sid's lead mechanic, Linda just won't let up on him. So Karen decides to check out the competition by inviting her to dinner and tries to lead her interest elsewhere, namely to a Fairgate cousin, Paul. However Linda's crush on Sid is unwavering and she ends up with one kiss in the desert. Richard gets a job but Laura throws in a clincher.
"You are going to make a big deal out of this, aren't you?" Sid Fairgate.

Finally, Richard gets a job that will pay $36,000 a year. Unsuspecting, Linda arrives for dinner.

Paul Fairgate (Kale Brown) hopes to get lucky but Linda will not go for it. Her eyes are only for Sid.

Karen wants to have lunch with Sid but he's too busy. Valene is the first to find out that Ginger is pregnant.

Abby tells Karen her husband is out with Linda. They find time to play games. Sid comes home to a cold shoulder.

Karen reads Sid his rights. Laura romances Richard before she tells him she's made $36,000 in a day.

Valene tells Karen of Gary's affair. Karen now regrets telling Sid to go play with his car.

Sid & Linda's car breaks down. Ginger tells Kenny she's pregnant. Karen's speech puts Val to sleep.

Karen's search for Sid is futile. Later, Sid tells Karen nothing happened but if it did he wouldn't tell her anyway.
