Aftermath
Sid's death weighs heavy on everyone's mind but after the funural Karen remains stoic and unemotional. The kids don't like it and know that she holds much anger inside her which she lets out on Abby by letting her go from Knots Landing Motors and Gary with whom she has an explosive episode. In the end Karen finally cries at the sight of Ginger and Kenny's new baby.

Karen stands with her family at her husband's funeral but goes through the ceremony without tears.
|

|
She eyes Gary Ewing who she feels is partly to blame for Sid's death.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
But even Gary breaks and sheds a tear for Sid while Karen remains motionless.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Karen speaks to the employees of Knots Landing Motors to tell them they'll all stay on except Abby.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Abby attempts to convince Karen that she misses Sid and is suffering just like any other human being.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Soon, Ginger feels a twich of a contraction while Karen takes in gentlemen callers.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The kids miss Karen at home. Who will cook and clean? The Averys talk about Scooter's troubles.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Kenny gets nervous when he notices the contractions are more regular now. Ginger calms him down with a kiss.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Eric has trouble carving the meat. Sid is missed at the table and in the bedroom.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Karen yells at Michael to leave her alone - scary, then makes it up to him. Ginger goes into labor.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Karen sells Sid's car without Eric's permission and has it out with Diana who wants to know is she's angry at daddy.
|
|
|
|
|
|
| A kiss from Val and a good slapping around is what Gary gets when he goes to the office and sits in Sid's chair.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
At home Gary has enough of Val's optimism while Ginger gives birth to a healthy baby girl.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Karen says sorry to Val for her behaviour with Gary then finally cries for her husband when she sees the baby.
