Moving In
Played by Julie Harris, Val's mother Lilimae Clements arrives on the scene by being a good semaritan who hides a sad secret. She is homeless and when she is caught stealing a scarf she is sentanced to probation and into the care of her daugher Valene Ewing who is less than pleased. Valene holds a grudge against her mama who abandoned her as a child to pursue the dream of a singing career. "I tell you what sugar, we'll give it a try." Lilimae Clements.

While Abby finally gets a call from her daughter Olivia, Val comes home from one of her many jogging trips.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Val tells Gary she's put together a party to watch him on a TV commercial for Knots Landing Motors.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Enter Lilimae. She dupes the hotel owner out of his rent with an empty suitcase then swaps it for a shopping cart.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Abby gets closer to finding her kids while Lilimae becomes a good semaritan by hurling her cart at a petty thief.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The gang is gathered at Val and Gary's house awaiting the commercial. Kenny and Ginger bring their baby girl.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The commercial is a success and Gary can't help but burst out of his shirt with pride or is it muscle? Hmm.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
To Val's shock she sees her long lost mama on television but finds out, "She's a homeless vagrant."
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Lilimae's stay with them makes Val nervous and Gary makes it better with a kiss.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Lilimae tells Val and Gary that "I scraped by." Then she gets a call from a music producer who saw her on TV.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Karen goes through Sid's clothes she'll give away. Lilimae makes herself at home.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Abby solicits help from Jeff's mother and Richard in order to find out where her X is hiding the kids.
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Laura catches Abby in the arms of her husband, again. Lilimae gets caught with a stolen scarf.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
After she sleeps with him Abby tells her current boy-toy Brad thanks but no thanks to a relationship.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Lawyer extraordinaire Richard handles Lilimae's case. She's to be looked after by Val & Gary, in her "sunset years".
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Gary tells Val, " She's your mother. I thought you made piece with that." Perhaps not.
