While Chip is taken to the hospital, bleeding, Lilimaie is brought into the Police for questioning. Val is called down to take her into her custody. Gary rushes to Val's aid even though Ben is already there and perfectly capable of taking care of things himself. Abby preassures Gary into marriage so he sleeps with Val. Abby then brings Gary to a boiling point by moving out of the ranch.
"Well, let me put it to you this way, if you were stranded in a desert for three days with no food or water and you came upon Abby Cunningham with a picnic basket, keep going." Karen MacKenzie

Diana panicks while Chip is brought into hospital bleeding from his wounds Lilimae had caused.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Lilimae is charged with attempted murder, "He was going to go free." Abby plots her next move.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Greg and Mack take in a hot dog lunch.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Sumner travels in style. Val and Ben go on a romantic stroll in an enchanted garden in Knots Landing.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Everything is going fine until Ben gets a call from the police station.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Laura tells Gary, "She ran him over in cold blood." Val and Ben rush to the police station where Lilimae is held.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Gary is there for his ex-wife, "I want to do what I can to help," creating yet another awkward moment for Ben.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Laura can't wait to tell Abby that "Gary's with Val." Lilimae will not plead Not Guilty. Karen arrives at hospital.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Meanwhile back at the ranch Abby paints nails. Karen delivers the most famos line in Knots history (see above).

|
Val's not sure what to do with her mama. Abby tempts Gary into marriage since his divorce became final.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Diana keeps vigil over a dilirious Chip. "I thought we were in Florida on a bus."

| Lilimae makes her way into Gary and Abby's bedroom seemingly surprised to see them together.
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Much to Abby's chagrin Gary gets up. "Gary, if you go I'm not going to be here when you get back." Gary goes.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Karen attempts to console Diana but she won't have it. "If you've come here to gloat, don't bother."
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Gary brings Lilimae home. Val, "What's the matter with you mama, are you crazy?" Val seems to be catching on.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Val goes up to bed forgetting Gary is still there. They exchange the look that says it ain't over with them.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The kiss seems inevitable as Val falls into Gary's arms and he does not resist.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Abby leaves Gary. Laura tells Karen she owns some land with Abby. Lilimae is checked for her state of mind.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The next day Val is all aglow as she tells Mack of the night before with Gary.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Abby is still confident Gary will come crawling to her, "I know him like a book."
