Ruth starts feeling like Abby is the daughter she never had but Greg feels she should go back where she came from. Joshua tells Cathy he needs to stay in the house to help Val even though Val doesn't think she needs any help. Gary is suspicious of Abby and Greg's dealings and finds his phone tapped. Ben and Karen go to an adaption agency posing as a perspective adoptive couple saying Dr. Ackerman sent them unknowing that Ackerman is already on to them.

Gary finds out about Greg's secret meetings while Ben starts a research on Dr. Ackerman.

Gary becomes a spy and Abby has a meeting with Greg about Valene's babies.

Cathy tries talking to Joshua about getting an apartment of their own but he tells her, "I just don't want us to be talking ourselves into anything."

Gary gets chased on the road. Laura and Greg try to take care of business together.

Mack tells Karen he's turned down a seat in the Senate. Val watches as Cathy and Joshua have an argument again.

At dinner Laura has had enough of Ruth's insults and leaves. Greg wants to leave too but Ruth stops him, "No dear. Why don't you stay here and have dinner with mommy." Val finds out Ben is doing research on Dr. Ackerman.

|
Inspite of mother's reservations Greg and Laura have an romantic moment in a bubble bath. Ruth wants to be Abby's best friend.

Gary tells Abby, "We either make decisions together or we don't make them at all." Greg suggests to his mother she go home to Africa.

|

|
|
|
|
Ben and Val's dinner gets interrupted as Merideth comes to him with some news on Dr. Ackerman. Val tries to read their lips through the fish tank.

|
|
|
|
| Karen suggests to Ben that Dr. Ackermen stole the babies as he needed money to pay off his gambling debt. Abby overhears this. In bed Abby and Gary's hot love-making gets a jolt when Gary thinks he hears noises outside.

|
Val can't sleep at night and wakes up thinking of her babies, Cathy helps her pass the time. Ruth confides to Abby, "I can get you what you want."

|
Abby almost drives over Greg as she leaves his drivway. Greg, "Distrubed." Gary finds out his phone is tapped.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Ban and Karen pretend they were sent by Dr. Ackerman to inquire about adoption. They seem quite legit but not quite. Upon their departure the lawyer immediately reports back to Ackerman of their visit.
