This storyline hooked a nation as Valenes twin babies were
kidnapped after Abby `innocently` stated to some of her dodgy
collegues that she wanted `those babies out of the way`. And
thats exactly what happened......
  
Valene gives birth to the twins, which are taken from her.
The Doctor responsible for the kidnapping comes to tell Valene
the babies are dead. She refuses to believe it , her instinct
tells her the babies are alive but Dr Ackerman forces Val to
accept her babies are dead.
  
Karen begins to investigate the missing babies, a worried Ackerman
rings Abby.
Ackerman "Karen found me yesterday
I don`t like the questions she asked"
Abby "how much does she know?"
Ackerman "I don`t know but she
hasn`t got anything concrete, shes also been talking to the
delivery room nurses. This must stop do you understand?"
Abby "I didn`t have anything
to do with this"
Ackerman "Nevertheless you better
put a stop to it"
Abby "how can I?"
Ackerman "find a way, if I go
down, you go down with me"
 
Karen and Mac finally discover the truth about
Ackerman and Karen confronts him about the babies. Ackerman
runs off.
  
Closely persued by Karen and Mac, Ackerman runs
to his car chased by Mac. Karen gets in her car and reverses
into Ackermans car blocking him in.
  
Mac checks the Karen is ok and they make
their way towards Ackermans car. Mac shouts "its over Ackerman".
As Karen and Mac reach the car, Ackerman takes out and gun and
shoots himself through the head.
 
Finally after many months
apart Valene is reunited with the twins Betsy and Bobby in an
emotional scene after the faimly who illegally adopted them
hands them back over to their real mother.
