Ted Shackleford (Garrison "Gary"
Ewing)
Ted Shackleford started off as a
replacement actor to appear in a few episodes of Dallas.He
filled the shoes of former Gary Ewing - played by David
Ackroyd. Today, Ted is thankful he got the call, and is
known the world over, as Gary Ewing. If it wasn't for Ted's
character, there would be no Knots Landing, Knots Landing
was designed as a spin-off from Dallas as we all know, but
it was meant to be based on Gary, and his wife Valene.
As the weeks progressed, Knots Landing
became a family favorite, and wasn't based solely on the
Ewing household, but a whole Cul-De-Sac, known to many as
Seaview Circle.
Ted re-appeared as Gary Ewing, in
the 1997 two part reunion of Knots Landing, entitled Back
To The Cul-De-Sac. Today, Ted is still an active actor,
and has most recently appeared in shows such as

Ted Shackleford's Most Recent Projects.
Ted maintains a busy acting career,
and his most recent, or should i say, upcoming feature,
is a film entitled Miracle Dogs. The film is currently in
production and is penciled in for release sometime 2004.
The film is based on a book, in which a dog named Annie
beats cancer. It is set to be a tear jerker, and what's
perhaps best about this film, is that Ted will be reuntied
with actress Rue McClanahan. Ted and Rue worked together
on the hugely funny and successful "bride" films,
Ted starred in 2, and they were made early 1990's, so ten
years on, Rue and Ted will be working together again. Keep
an eye out on this movie, which is being made for TV.
Aside from his career, Ted remains
married to his wife of 10 years Annette Wolfe.
